    सावत्थिनिदानं।

    Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

    At Sāvatthī.

    “अट्ठिमे, भिक्खवे, धम्मा भाविता बहुलीकता अनुप्पन्ना उप्पज्जन्ति, नाञ्ञत्र सुगतविनया। कतमे अट्ठ? सेय्यथिदं—सम्मादिट्ठि …पे… सम्मासमाधि। इमे खो, भिक्खवे, अट्ठ धम्मा भाविता बहुलीकता अनुप्पन्ना उप्पज्जन्ति, नाञ्ञत्र सुगतविनया”ति।

    “Aṭṭhime, bhikkhave, dhammā bhāvitā bahulīkatā anuppannā uppajjanti, nāññatra sugatavinayā. Katame aṭṭha? Seyyathidaṁ—sammādiṭṭhi …pe… sammāsamādhi. Ime kho, bhikkhave, aṭṭha dhammā bhāvitā bahulīkatā anuppannā uppajjanti, nāññatra sugatavinayā”ti.

    “Bhikkhus, these eight things don’t arise to be developed and cultivated apart from the Holy One’s training. What eight? They are: right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion. These are the eight things that don’t arise to be developed and cultivated apart from the Holy One’s training.”
