The World
“किस्मिं लोको समुप्पन्नो, किस्मिं कुब्बति सन्थवं; किस्स लोको उपादाय, किस्मिं लोको विहञ्ञती”ति।
“Kismiṁ loko samuppanno, kismiṁ kubbati santhavaṁ; Kissa loko upādāya, kismiṁ loko vihaññatī”ti.
“What has the world arisen in? What does it get close to? By grasping what is the world troubled in what?”
“छसु लोको समुप्पन्नो, छसु कुब्बति सन्थवं; छन्नमेव उपादाय, छसु लोको विहञ्ञती”ति।
“Chasu loko samuppanno, chasu kubbati santhavaṁ; Channameva upādāya, chasu loko vihaññatī”ti.
“The world’s arisen in six. It gets close to six. By grasping at these six, the world’s troubled in six.”
अद्धवग्गो सत्तमो।
Addhavaggo sattamo.
तस्सुद्दानं
Tassuddānaṁ
नामं चित्तञ्च तण्हा च, संयोजनञ्च बन्धना; अब्भाहतुड्डितो पिहितो, इच्छा लोकेन ते दसाति।
Nāmaṁ cittañca taṇhā ca, saṁyojanañca bandhanā; Abbhāhatuḍḍito pihito, icchā lokena te dasāti.
