Great Wisdom
“चत्तारोमे, भिक्खवे, धम्मा भाविता बहुलीकता महापञ्ञताय संवत्तन्ति। कतमे चत्तारो? सप्पुरिससंसेवो, सद्धम्मस्सवनं, योनिसोमनसिकारो, धम्मानुधम्मप्पटिपत्ति—इमे खो, भिक्खवे, चत्तारो धम्मा भाविता बहुलीकता महापञ्ञताय संवत्तन्ती”ति।
“Cattārome, bhikkhave, dhammā bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahāpaññatāya saṁvattanti. Katame cattāro? Sappurisasaṁsevo, saddhammassavanaṁ, yonisomanasikāro, dhammānudhammappaṭipatti—ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro dhammā bhāvitā bahulīkatā mahāpaññatāya saṁvattantī”ti.
“Bhikkhus, when four things are developed and cultivated they lead to great wisdom. What four? Associating with good people, listening to the true teaching, rational application of mind, and practicing in line with the teaching. When these four things are developed and cultivated they lead to great wisdom.”
