    “तयोमे, भिक्खवे, नीघा। कतमे तयो? रागो नीघो, दोसो नीघो, मोहो नीघो—इमे खो, भिक्खवे, तयो नीघा।

    “Tayome, bhikkhave, nīghā. Katame tayo? Rāgo nīgho, doso nīgho, moho nīgho—ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo nīghā.

    “Bhikkhus, there are these three troubles. What three? Greed, hate, and delusion. These are the three troubles.

    इमेसं खो, भिक्खवे, तिण्णन्नं नीघानं अभिञ्ञाय परिञ्ञाय परिक्खयाय पहानाय …पे… अयं अरियो अट्ठङ्गिको मग्गो भावेतब्बो”ति।

    Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, tiṇṇannaṁ nīghānaṁ abhiññāya pariññāya parikkhayāya pahānāya …pe… ayaṁ ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo bhāvetabbo”ti.

    The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these three troubles.”
