सावत्थिनिदानं।

“पञ्चिमानि, भिक्खवे, इन्द्रियानि भावितानि बहुलीकतानि अनुप्पन्नानि उप्पज्जन्ति, नाञ्ञत्र तथागतस्स पातुभावा अरहतो सम्मासम्बुद्धस्स। कतमानि पञ्च? सद्धिन्द्रियं, वीरियिन्द्रियं, सतिन्द्रियं, समाधिन्द्रियं, पञ्ञिन्द्रियं—इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, पञ्चिन्द्रियानि भावितानि बहुलीकतानि अनुप्पन्नानि उप्पज्जन्ति, नाञ्ञत्र तथागतस्स पातुभावा अरहतो सम्मासम्बुद्धस्सा”ति।
“Pañcimāni, bhikkhave, indriyāni bhāvitāni bahulīkatāni anuppannāni uppajjanti, nāññatra tathāgatassa pātubhāvā arahato sammāsambuddhassa. Katamāni pañca? Saddhindriyaṁ, vīriyindriyaṁ, satindriyaṁ, samādhindriyaṁ, paññindriyaṁ—imāni kho, bhikkhave, pañcindriyāni bhāvitāni bahulīkatāni anuppannāni uppajjanti, nāññatra tathāgatassa pātubhāvā arahato sammāsambuddhassā”ti.
“Bhikkhus, these five faculties don’t arise to be developed and cultivated except when a Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha has appeared. What five? The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, immersion, and wisdom. These five faculties don’t arise to be developed and cultivated except when a Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha has appeared.”
