“नाफुसन्तं फुसति च, फुसन्तञ्च ततो फुसे; तस्मा फुसन्तं फुसति, अप्पदुट्ठपदोसिनन्”ति।
“Nāphusantaṁ phusati ca, phusantañca tato phuse; Tasmā phusantaṁ phusati, appaduṭṭhapadosinan”ti.
“It doesn’t impact a person who doesn’t impact others. It impacts a person because they impact others. That’s why it impacts one who impacts, who wrongs one who’s done no wrong.”
“यो अप्पदुट्ठस्स नरस्स दुस्सति, सुद्धस्स पोसस्स अनङ्गणस्स; तमेव बालं पच्चेति पापं, सुखुमो रजो पटिवातंव खित्तो”ति।
“Yo appaduṭṭhassa narassa dussati, Suddhassa posassa anaṅgaṇassa; Tameva bālaṁ pacceti pāpaṁ, Sukhumo rajo paṭivātaṁva khitto”ti.
“Whoever wrongs a man who’s done no wrong, a pure man who has not a blemish, the evil backfires on the fool, like fine dust thrown upwind.”
