    Craving For Sights

    සාවත්ථිනිදානං.

    At Sāvatthī.

    “රූපතණ්හා, භික්ඛවේ, අනිච්චා විපරිණාමී අඤ්ඤථාභාවී; සද්දතණ්හා … ගන්ධතණ්හා … රසතණ්හා … ඵෝට්ඨබ්බතණ්හා … ධම්මතණ්හා අනිච්චා විපරිණාමී අඤ්ඤථාභාවී.

    “Bhikkhus, craving for sights is impermanent, decaying, and perishing. Craving for sounds, craving for smells, craving for tastes, craving for touches, and craving for thoughts are impermanent, decaying, and perishing.

    යෝ, භික්ඛවේ, ඉමේ ධම්මේ ඒවං සද්දහති අධිමුච්චති, අයං වුච්චති ‘සද්ධානුසාරී …පේ… සම්බෝධිපරායනෝ(අ)”ති.

    Someone who has faith and confidence in these principles is called a follower by faith. …”
