सावत्थिनिदानं।
Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
At Sāvatthī.
चत्तारिमानि, भिक्खवे, अरियसच्चानि। कतमानि चत्तारि? दुक्खं अरियसच्चं …पे… दुक्खनिरोधगामिनी पटिपदा अरियसच्चं—इमानि खो, भिक्खवे, चत्तारि अरियसच्चानि। इमेसं खो, भिक्खवे, चतुन्नं अरियसच्चानं यथाभूतं अभिसम्बुद्धत्ता तथागतो ‘अरहं सम्मासम्बुद्धोऽति वुच्चति।
Cattārimāni, bhikkhave, ariyasaccāni. Katamāni cattāri? Dukkhaṁ ariyasaccaṁ …pe… dukkhanirodhagāminī paṭipadā ariyasaccaṁ—imāni kho, bhikkhave, cattāri ariyasaccāni. Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, catunnaṁ ariyasaccānaṁ yathābhūtaṁ abhisambuddhattā tathāgato ‘arahaṁ sammāsambuddho’ti vuccati.
“Bhikkhus, there are these four noble truths. What four? The noble truths of suffering, the origin of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the practice that leads to the cessation of suffering. These are the four noble truths. It is because he has truly woken up to these four noble truths that the Realized One is called ‘the perfected one, the fully awakened Buddha’.
तस्मातिह, भिक्खवे, ‘इदं दुक्खन्ऽति योगो करणीयो …पे… ‘अयं दुक्खनिरोधगामिनी पटिपदाऽति योगो करणीयो”ति।
Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, ‘idaṁ dukkhan’ti yogo karaṇīyo …pe… ‘ayaṁ dukkhanirodhagāminī paṭipadā’ti yogo karaṇīyo”ti.
