Santi, bhikkhave, cakkhuviññeyyā rūpā iṭṭhā kantā manāpā piyarūpā kāmūpasaṁhitā rajanīyā. Tañce bhikkhu abhinandati abhivadati ajjhosāya tiṭṭhati, veditabbametaṁ, bhikkhave, bhikkhunā: ‘parihāyāmi kusalehi dhammehi. Parihānañhetaṁ vuttaṁ bhagavatā’ti …pe…
There are sights known by the eye that are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing. If a bhikkhu approves, welcomes, and keeps clinging to them, they should understand: ‘My skillful qualities are declining. For this is what the Buddha calls decline.’
सन्ति, भिक्खवे, जिव्हाविञ्ञेय्या रसा …पे… सन्ति, भिक्खवे, मनोविञ्ञेय्या धम्मा इट्ठा कन्ता मनापा पियरूपा कामूपसंहिता रजनीया। तञ्चे भिक्खु अभिनन्दति अभिवदति अज्झोसाय तिट्ठति, वेदितब्बमेतं, भिक्खवे, भिक्खुना: ‘परिहायामि कुसलेहि धम्मेहि। परिहानञ्हेतं वुत्तं भगवताऽति।
santi, bhikkhave, jivhāviññeyyā rasā …pe… santi, bhikkhave, manoviññeyyā dhammā iṭṭhā kantā manāpā piyarūpā kāmūpasaṁhitā rajanīyā. Tañce bhikkhu abhinandati abhivadati ajjhosāya tiṭṭhati, veditabbametaṁ, bhikkhave, bhikkhunā: ‘parihāyāmi kusalehi dhammehi. Parihānañhetaṁ vuttaṁ bhagavatā’ti.
There are sounds … smells … tastes … touches … thoughts known by the mind that are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing. If a bhikkhu approves, welcomes, and keeps clinging to them, they should understand: ‘My skillful qualities are declining. For this is what the Buddha calls decline.’
एवं खो, भिक्खवे, असंवरो होति।
Evaṁ kho, bhikkhave, asaṁvaro hoti.
This is how someone is unrestrained.
कथञ्च, भिक्खवे, संवरो होति?

And how is someone restrained?
