सावत्थियं विहरति।
Sāvatthiyaṁ viharati.
At Sāvatthī.
“तं किं मञ्ञसि, राहुल, चक्खुसम्फस्सजा वेदना निच्चा वा अनिच्चा वा”ति?
“Taṁ kiṁ maññasi, rāhula, cakkhusamphassajā vedanā niccā vā aniccā vā”ti?
“What do you think, Rāhula? Is feeling born of eye contact permanent or impermanent?”
“अनिच्चा, भन्ते” …
“Aniccā, bhante” …
“Impermanent, sir.” …
“सोतसम्फस्सजा वेदना …पे… घानसम्फस्सजा वेदना … जिव्हासम्फस्सजा वेदना … कायसम्फस्सजा वेदना … मनोसम्फस्सजा वेदना निच्चा वा अनिच्चा वा”ति?
“sotasamphassajā vedanā …pe… ghānasamphassajā vedanā … jivhāsamphassajā vedanā … kāyasamphassajā vedanā … manosamphassajā vedanā niccā vā aniccā vā”ti?
“… feeling born of ear contact … feeling born of nose contact … feeling born of tongue contact … feeling born of body contact … Is feeling born of mind contact permanent or impermanent?”
“अनिच्चा, भन्ते” …
“Aniccā, bhante” …
“Impermanent, sir.” …
“एवं पस्सं, राहुल, सुतवा अरियसावको चक्खुसम्फस्सजाय वेदनायपि निब्बिन्दति …पे… सोत … घान … जिव्हा … काय … मनोसम्फस्सजाय वेदनायपि निब्बिन्दति …पे… पजानाती”ति।
“evaṁ passaṁ, rāhula, sutavā ariyasāvako cakkhusamphassajāya vedanāyapi nibbindati …pe… sota … ghāna … jivhā … kāya … manosamphassajāya vedanāyapi nibbindati …pe… pajānātī”ti.
“Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with feeling born of eye contact, ear contact, nose contact, tongue contact, body contact, and mind contact. …”
