    යංදුක්ඛසුත්ත

    That Which is Suffering

    සාවත්ථිනිදානං.

    At Sāvatthī.

    “රූපං, භික්ඛවේ, දුක්ඛං. යං දුක්ඛං තදනත්තා; යදනත්තා තං ‘නේතං මම, නේසෝහමස්මි, න මේසෝ අත්තා(අ)ති ඒවමේතං යථාභූතං සම්මප්පඤ්ඤාය දට්ඨබ්බං.

    “Bhikkhus, form is suffering. What’s suffering is not-self. And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

    වේදනා දුක්ඛා …

    Feeling is suffering …

    සඤ්ඤා දුක්ඛා …

    Perception is suffering …

    සඞ්ඛාරා දුක්ඛා …

    Choices are suffering …

    විඤ්ඤාණං දුක්ඛං. යං දුක්ඛං තදනත්තා; යදනත්තා තං ‘නේතං මම, නේසෝහමස්මි, න මේසෝ අත්තා(අ)ති ඒවමේතං යථාභූතං සම්මප්පඤ්ඤාය දට්ඨබ්බං.

    Consciousness is suffering. What’s suffering is not-self. And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

    ඒවං පස්සං …පේ… නාපරං ඉත්ථත්තායා(අ)ති පජානාතී”ති.

    Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is no return to any state of existence.’”
