    Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae

    Definition 1

    A species of facultatively anaerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This bacteria is nonmotile, beta hemolytic and urease and porphyrin positive. Some serotypes of A. pleuropneumoniae cause respiratory disease in pigs. (NCI Thesaurus)
