    History, Documentary

Have you ever wondered what Bodh Gaya looks like? Watch this excellent documentary to find out.

Bodh Gaya, located in the Indian state of Bihar, is the place where Gautama Buddha has attained Enlightenment under what became known as the Bodhi Tree.

For Buddhists, Bodh Gaya is the most important of the main four pilgrimage sites related to the life of Gautama Buddha, the other three being Kushinagar, Lumbini, and Sarnath.

The Mahabodhi Temple complex located in Bodh Gaya contains the Mahabodhi Temple, built under the Gupta Empire in the 6th century CE, with the Vajrasana or "diamond throne" and the Holy Bodhi tree.

This tree was originally a sapling of the Sri Maha Bodhi tree in Sri Lanka, itself grown from a sapling of the original Bodhi tree.
