D10S170 Protein
The H4 gene is found fused to the RET Gene in papillary thyroid carcinoma and to platelet-derived growth factor receptor betaR in atypical chronic myeloid leukemia. The H4 gene shows no significant homology to known genes, and the function of H4 protein is unknown. An N-terminal leucine zipper mediates dimerization of H4 protein and this dimerization is essential to transforming activity. (from OMIM 601985 and NCI) (NCI Thesaurus)
