    Eubacterium limosum

    Definition 1

    A genus of aerobic, Gram-positive, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum Firmicutes. This species is nonmotile, non-spore forming, indole negative, hydrolyzes esculin, does not reduce nitrate, and ferments erythritol. E. limosum is commensal in the gastrointestinal tract and may be useful as a probiotic. (NCI Thesaurus)
