    Guanosine to Adenosine Transition Abnormality

    A point mutation involving the substitution of Adenosine (a purine base) for Guanosine (a purine base) in a DNA sequence from eukaryotic or prokaryotic organisms. This abnormality can be either heritable or occur somatically. (NCI Thesaurus)
