    Intratendinous Route of Administration

    Definition 1

    The administration of an agent within a tendon. The route is used for local therapy in various conditions of the tendinous or bursal structures such as tendinitis, tenosynovitis, epicondylitis, etc. Depending on indications and the drug, injection could be done into the tendon sheath or into the substance of the tendon.
