LOD Score
Definition 1
The total relative probability, expressed on a logarithmic scale, that a linkage relationship exists among selected loci. LOD is an acronym for "logarithmic odds." (From MSH 2001) (NCI Thesaurus)
Definition 2
A statistical estimate of whether two genetic loci are physically near enough to each other (or linked) on a particular chromosome that they are likely to be inherited together. A LOD score of three or more is generally considered statistically significant evidence of linkage. (NCI Dictionary)
