    Mycobacterium tuberculosis Interferon Gamma Response

    A measurement of the amount of interferon gamma that is released when Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigen is incubated with a biological specimen, usually blood. Increased amount of interferon gamma suggests a prior or existing M. tuberculosis infection. (NCI Thesaurus)
