Symptom Impact Questionnaire
Definition 1
A standardized survey developed and copyrighted by Ronald Friend and Robert Bennett that is published in the journal Arthritis Research and Therapy. This instrument was developed along with the Revised Fibromyalgia Questionnaire (FIQR) and was intended for use in assessing symptoms associated with rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematous. There are three sections including function, overall impact and symptoms with a total of 21 items. Each item is rated on a 0-10 scale with 0 being none and 10 being the most severe. (NCI Thesaurus)
